I am seeking information about an aggressive overflight of the Soviet Union from Iran in the late 1960's and early 1970's. A CIA driven intelligence program launched between 200 and 300 penetration missions using RF-5 and RF-4C aircraft to gather Elint data.
Does anyone else have any information about this project or know anyone who participated? |

I have sent letters to the CIA twice requesting Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) information regarding these events. They replied refusing to provide any information to me. Their last letter said my only recourse was to take them to court. Who do you think would have sufficient funding to sue the CIA?
There is still no information being offered at this time. I have been working to reach anyone in the old Soviet Union who was in Air Defense services during that time frame and location. I have not been successful in that area as well.
Any ideas? |
