I am seeking information about an aggressive overflight of the Soviet Union from Iran in the late 1960's and early 1970's. A CIA driven intelligence program launched between 200 and 300 penetration missions using RF-5 and RF-4C aircraft to gather Elint data.

Does anyone else have any information about this project or know anyone who participated?
